ACR Group Inc. reports surge in sales and earnings for fiscal 1995; two new branches opened.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 1995--ACR Group Inc. ("ACRG ACRG Annual Compound Rate of Growth

") today reported a record level of sales and pre-tax income for its fiscal year ended Feb. 28, 1995.

Pre-tax income increased 27 percent, from $443,468, to $561,706, compared to the fiscal year ended Feb. 28, 1994. Sales increased 34 percent from fiscal 1994 to 1995, as the company's subsidiaries each recorded sales increases ranging from 13 percent to 105 percent over 1994. Both sales and pre-tax income are the highest since the company entered the HVACR HVACR Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration  distribution business in 1990. Net income for fiscal 1995 was $558,206, compared to $1,114,068, in fiscal 1994, when the company recorded a non-recurring tax benefit of $680,000, to adopt a new accounting standard for income taxes.

The company also reported that it has recently opened two additional branches, bringing the total number of distribution outlets to 18. The newest store openings are in Forest Park, GA., a suburb south of Atlanta, and in McAllen, Texas, which borders Mexico. Each store opened in April 1995.

Alex Trevino, Jr., chairman and president of ACRG, commented on the year-end results. "We are very pleased with our growth in sales and earnings, which were both well above the growth rates Growth Rates
