ACPE launches convenient, new weekend PIM.

The American College of Physician Executives will launch a blended learning version of the highly popular Physician in Management Seminar (PIM) July 31 - August 2 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, CA.

"We've been considering ways to give more physicians the chance to attend the PIM," said Susan Quinn, ACPE's vice president of educational development. "With every day bringing news of health care organizations being more affected by the economic downturn, the time seems right to explore new, more affordable ways of providing physicians the education and networking opportunities they need."

Physicians attending the weekend PIM will take four modules over 3 days (Friday, Saturday and half-day Sunday) with the rest of the course delivered via video on a flash drive they take home and complete at their convenience.

"We believe this new model will provide the best of both worlds, allowing participants to cut travel costs and time away from work without sacrificing learning or the opportunity to connect with their peers." Quinn added.
