Profiling people based on the cohort to which they belong is far more complex and insightful in understanding how people behave, interpret information and make decisions," Berkowitz says.

"The implications of these cohorts have dramatic effects in the markets you serve, the employees and colleagues you work with, and even your family relationships."

During his talk, Berkowitz will explore the answers to questions like

* Why don't young employees want to work as hard as I work?

* How can my kids do their homework and instant message at the same time?

* Doesn't anyone read the newspaper anymore?

* Why do I have to go to another group meeting?
