ACP Announces Annual Best Practices in Emergency Management, and Continuity of Operations Planning/COOP Symposia April 5, 2005.

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Gaston Boisson, President of the DC Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners, today announced that the annual symposia will be held April 5 at the Ronald Reagan building in Washington DC. This years symposia is an open event featuring special sessions on emergency management and planning for both government and business professionals responsible for helping their organizations prepare for and recover from unplanned disasters. The symposia will appeal to continuity professionals, emergency managers, risk managers, facilities managers and others engaged in the protection of their workplaces. The Mid Atlantic chapter of business continuity professionals is the largest of the 25 chapters in the United States.

The symposium will feature:

--Real world case studies and Interactive sessions;

--An expert panel on managing emergencies in today's environment;

--Developing a comprehensive COOP test, training and exercise;
