[Listed in CACM 2(5):16 (May 1959)].
Solutions Inc. has inaugurated an expanded product strategy based on a powerful multi-platform commerce engine that supports and integrates electronic, Internet and paper-based business processes with enterprise applications, extending ACOM's widely used payment and forms management solutions companywide and into the B2B e-commerce (Business to Business Electronic-COMMERCE) Refers to one business selling to another business via the Web. Under the new strategy, ACOM provides conventional laser-printed payment and back office forms management solutions, e-commerce solutions (EDI/XML), and Web-form based solutions, McMahon said.

"Most back office processes such as payments and document workflow continue to be performed using paper technologies such as laser printing," he said.

"But many companies are finding that their trading partners now insist that all or part of their transactions be performed electronically. The result is a strong need in the market for e-commerce solutions to coexist co·ex·ist

We satisfy this requirement by enabling our customers to transact An earlier e-commerce system for the Web from Open Market that included order capture and secure order fulfillment using credit cards, ecash and other payment systems. It included customer service and subscription administration capabilities as well as an integrated database for reporting  paper-based, electronic or Internet commerce on a single platform, without having to change their current business application.

"Because ACOM's powerful new product architecture is modular in nature, organizations can select from this versatile product suite to structure ideal solutions that precisely fulfill their back office and B2B (Business to Business) Refers to one business communicating with or selling to another.  requirements. This approach allows our customers to build a bridge between their existing business infrastructures and the new technologies without pain."

ACOM has for more than a decade successfully integrated its payments and forms solutions with enterprise applications, establishing a leadership position in its field, McMahon said. The company's new business strategy has built on this foundation both with internal product developments and with strategic acquisitions over the past two years, all of which are now incorporated into the company's product and service mix.

"There is powerful synergy in this product suite, and with it, ACOM has stepped out in the market with a technology approach that recognizes the actual state of the market," McMahon said. "We fully support the trend to e-commerce and pursue an active R&D effort to advance it. But at the same time, we have seen more and more of our competitors backing away from their support of traditional business practices.

"We see this not only as a business opportunity for our company, but as a responsibility to our current and future customer base. Commencing this month, we will issue a series of product releases that will further define the strategy as well as provide our customers and the market at-large with specific details and availability dates The date after notification of mobilization by which forces will be marshalled at their home station or mobilization station and available for deployment.
