ACOM Computer Systems Inc. Appoints Gregg Church Director of Marketing.

LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 1997--ACOM Computer Inc. the nation's leading single source supplier of magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) disbursement solutions, has appointed Gregory T. Church to the position of director of marketing, it was announced Monday by James R. Scott, vice president of sales and marketing.

ACOM's product line includes MICR-enhanced laser printers, MICR software for IBM AS/400 mainframes and Microsoft Windows-driven desktop systems, and printer consumables, as well as complete service and support functions.

Church, 32, previously was director of sales and corporate marketing for System One Corp., a developer and marketer of software systems and applications located in Boulder, Colo. In his five years with System One, his sales and marketing strategies for its (health care) Practice Management Service Division and its Electronic Data Interchange Division led to revenue achievements of from 20-50 percent over plan.

Earlier, Church held various management positions with Consumer Health Services Inc., also in Boulder, directing the activities of staff managers; inside and outside sales personnel; account managers; customer service representatives; quality assurance specialists; and product specialists.

Church holds bachelors degrees in business administration and in music performance and education from the University of Colorado. His professional affiliations include the American Marketing Association, the American Hospital Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American College of Medical Practice Executives and the Medical Group Management Association.
