The iSeries/400 Division of ACOM Solutions has introduced a full-function, host resident email solution that allows iSeries/400 users to exchange Internet email, with attachments, from 5250 terminals, PC mail clients or any browser, it was announced today by Mark Firmin, Division vice president of sales.

According to Firmin, EZeMail is seamlessly interfaced to EZPrint/400 Forms, enabling users to transmit documents like invoices and purchase orders automatically, direct from EZPrint/400 Forms, with no user intervention.

It can connect to Internet service providers by dial-up or through high-speed connections like DSL, ISDN or cable connections, and it can exchange mail through any network mail server, including Exchange Servers and Notes/Domino Servers.

Key features and capabilities include:

-- Integrated 5250 text editor for creating, editing and viewing email
messages. Designed for exceptional ease of use, it includes word wrapping,
automatic paragraph adjustment and a spell checker for seven languages.

-- Attachments capability allows multiple attachments to be sent or received
with messages. Any iSeries object, including physical files, source files,
spool files and save files can be prepared as attachments, and PC files can be
processed both by using the iSeries Shared Folders or viewed on a 5250
terminal.

-- EZeMail's information manager employs the iSeries database to build index
cards for keeping track of email addresses, company and contact names, phone
numbers, sales figures and any other information users want to access quickly.
It can sort the information by virtually any criterion.

-- HTTP Server -- allows employees to access their email from anywhere, using
an Internet browser.

-- Application Program Interfaces included in EZeMail monitor the output queue
so that users can send email directly from applications automatically. The APIs
can prepare spooled files, PC files or iSeries/400 files as attachments.
