ACLJ Appeals Domestic Partnership Ruling in Maryland.

"It is our view that Maryland law clearly rejects same-sex domestic relationships. This is a critical constitutional issue and we are hopeful the appeals court will uphold the family and protect marriage."

The ACLJ filed suit in Montgomery County Circuit Court in May 2000 on behalf of eleven Montgomery County residents and employees challenging the Montgomery County law allowing same-sex partners of county employees to qualify for health, insurance, and other benefits.
