Direct-to-Desktop and "Pay Biller" Approach

ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq:TSAI TSAI Transaction Systems Architects Inc ), a leading international provider of enterprise e-payment solutions, announces the launch of its second-generation software for electronic statement delivery (ESD (1) (Electronic Software Distribution) Distributing new software and upgrades via the network rather than individual installations on each machine. See ESL. ) and electronic bill delivery and payment (EBDP EBDP Event-Based Dynamic Programming )--M-Statement(TM) and M-Bill(TM). With these solutions, companies can create, track and securely deliver content-rich statements and bills directly to their customers via e-mail and other delivery channels. Customers can electronically pay the billing company from within the bills they receive using payment types accepted around the world. Through ACI's "pay biller" approach, billers can readily clear their customer's payments through the corporate financial institution or payment services provider they already use.

"ACI's second-generation solutions are built with an emphasis on delivery as opposed to the first generation of electronic bill and statement solutions that focused on presentment," said Dan Heimann, director of marketing for ACI's electronic delivery and payment solutions. "Consumers are used to having their statements and bills delivered directly to them. Our solutions allow companies to take advantage of that familiarity. Instead of asking customers to surf to an Internet site to see their statements or bills, our software delivers the documents directly to the customer via e-mail, which, according to according to

ACI's software allows companies to mirror the time-honored model in which they create and deliver bills and statements to their customers. The company controls what its customer receives in terms of branding, style and content of the bill or statement. The complete bill or statement is securely delivered using industry standard encryption to ensure privacy and digital signatures to ensure authenticity. Through patent-pending tracking capabilities, the delivery of bills and statements is ensured. Standard e-mail client Same as e-mail program.  and browser software is all customers need to view, manage and interact with the document they receive. The combination of these features makes electronic delivery a viable replacement for paper bills and statements. Companies can achieve real cost savings and a measurable return-on-investment by eliminating the creation and delivery of paper documents for customers who use the service. Content-rich electronic bills and statements can also become interactive vehicles of communication between companies and their customers to improve customer loyalty, increase marketing effectiveness Marketing Effectiveness is the function of improving how marketers go to market with the goal of optimizing their marketing spend to achieve even better results for both the short-term and long-term. ACI's unique "pay biller" approach allows billers to leverage relationships they already have with financial institutions and payment service providers. Billers using M-Bill can continue to accept the same methods of payment, clear payments via the corporate bank or payment-clearing provider they already use, and utilize existing payment infrastructures and national payment clearing services.

M-Bill is the first solution to provide payment initiation from within an electronic bill. With the click of the "pay biller" button embedded in bills, customers control the payment amount and timing. Once payment is initiated, instructions are generated that the biller can clear electronically through its corporate bank or payment services provider.
