 Bank has donated $1,000 each to 10 elementary schools, including Fairfield Elementary in Eugene, Two Rivers/Dos Rios Elementary in Springfield and Latham Elementary in Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery). .

The bank announced the gifts recently at a principals' breakfast it hosted. It will be up to each school's principal to decide how to spend the money.

The bank donated money to schools with high numbers of low-income students.

The other elementary schools receiving grants were in Albany, Coos Bay, Lebanon, Lincoln City, McMinnville, Philomath and Sweet Home.
