ACEI Standing Committees are Membership, Nominations, Publications, Teacher Educators: Professional Standards and NCATE, Public Affairs, and Awards. The Standing Committee Chairs are selected and appointed by the Executive Board. Standing Committee members serve 3-year terms. ACEI Program Committees are International Outreach, Infancy/ Early Childhood, Intermediate/ Middle Childhood, Heritage, Research, Technology, and Diversity. The Program Committee Chairs are elected by Committee members. Program Committee members serve 2-year terms. Standing Committees Awards Responsible for evaluating new award proposals; keeps ACEI' s award program current with the needs of the membership; develops award guidelines and selection criteria; drafts appropriate application or nomination forms; select the winner(s) in each category and submits the name(s) to the Executive Board for final approval; assists Headquarters with efforts to promote ACEI's Awards Program.
