ACE DuraFlo Promotes Two Executives to Head Company; Gillanders Named Chairman & CEO; Wartman Is New President.

The Board of Directors of ACE DuraFlo Systems, the leading developer and marketer of unique barrier coating technology used for repairing and preventing water pipe leaks, has promoted two of its top executives to new duties as chairman and president, respectively, of the company.

Larry Gillanders, a co-founder of the company and co-inventor of the company's pipe restoration technology, has been named chairman and chief executive officer of ACE DuraFlo. Paul Wartman, also a co-founder and previously senior vice president for franchise development, has been named president and managing director of the company.

In his new post as Chairman and CEO, Gillanders is responsible for long-term strategic planning and for pursuit of technology advancements with the company's repiping methodology. Since 1996, he has had primary responsibility for the technical development of the system as well as product rollout and technical support.

Gillanders previously established more than 50 franchise locations in Canada for Amerispec Home Inspection Services, which was acquired in 1996 by a U.S.-based Fortune 200 company. Before that he owned one of the largest real estate appraisal and consulting companies in British Columbia.

As President and Managing Director, Wartman assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of ACE DuraFlo, including sales, marketing and global franchise expansion. Prior to joining the company, he was president of Tower Cleaning Systems.

Under his direction Tower became the second fastest growing franchise company in the United States. Wartman earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, Wis., and his law degree from Temple University in Philadelphia.
