ACE Appoints Robert Rebellato Senior Vice President.


HAMILTON, Bermuda -- ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd. (ACE Bermuda), today announced the appointment of Robert Rebellato to the position of Senior Vice President in its property division. Mr. Rebellato will assume responsibility for the management of ACE Bermuda's global property and first party specialty lines business and will report to Rees Fletcher, President & Chief Executive Officer of ACE Bermuda. Mr. Rebellato's appointment is subject to the approval of the Bermuda Department of Labour and Immigration immigration, entrance of a person (an alien) into a new country for the purpose of establishing permanent residence. Motives for immigration, like those for migration generally, are often economic, although religious or political factors may be very important. .

Mr. Rebellato succeeds Chris Fisher, who was recently appointed to the position of Executive Vice President, ACE Energy within ACE USA.

Mr. Rebellato has over 20 years of international property underwriting experience and has held positions in Toronto, London, Dublin, Zurich and Bermuda. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from McGill University McGill University, at Montreal, Que., Canada; coeducational; chartered 1821, opened 1829. It was named for James McGill, who left a bequest to establish it. Its real development dates from 1855 when John W. Dawson became principal.  and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada. He joined ACE in 2002 from XL Capital. He previously worked for FM Global and the Industrial Risk Insurers.
