Samers Global Ethics & Compliance Officer, effective January 1, 2007. Ms. Samers will be responsible for providing ethics and business practices guidance, educating the ACE organization on that guidance, and maintaining a global monitoring function to evaluate compliance. Her mandate will also include communication and training for business ethics business ethics, the study and evaluation of decision making by businesses according to moral concepts and judgments. Ethical questions range from practical, narrowly defined issues, such as a company's obligation to be honest with its customers, to broader social and compliance-related matters across the organization. Ms. Samers will report to Robert Cusumano, General Counsel of ACE Limited, on a day-to-day basis and will also report directly to Evan Greenberg, President & Chief Executive Officer of ACE Limited, and to the Audit Committee of the ACE Limited Board of Directors. Ms. Samers joined ACE in May 2006 from the New York State Insurance Department, where she had served as Deputy Superintendent Deputy Superintendent, or Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), was a rank used by police forces of the British Empire.
