ACE Announces Three-Year Sponsorship With American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania; ACE Employees To Join Thousands for First Annual American Red Cross Walk.

The Philadelphia-based members of ACE INA, a part of the ACE Insurance Group of Companies, are pleased to announce a three-year sponsorship with the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

This sponsorship will assist the American Red Cross in its efforts to deliver much-needed services, programs, and educational materials to communities throughout the five surrounding counties in the Philadelphia region.

ACE INA representatives will join officials from the Red Cross to announce this sponsorship and celebrate March as Red Cross month during the "Save-a-Life Saturday" CPR training event at Cardinal Dougherty High School on Saturday, March 1.

As part of this three-year sponsorship, ACE INA will serve as presenting sponsor of the first annual Walk for Red Cross in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 12, 2003.

ACE employees from offices in Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, and Wilmington will join hundreds of corporate teams and volunteers to participate in the 12-kilometer walk, which kicks off at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park at 11:00 a.m., and will raise money and awareness for Red Cross programs and services.

During the month of March, hundreds of American Red Cross flags will be hung in Center City Philadelphia, with more than 200 featuring the ACE INA logo.

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross, governed by a volunteer board of directors, has been serving the people of Chester County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia County, and most of Bucks and Delaware Counties since receiving its charter in 1916.
