ACE*COMM Receives Northrop Grumman Contract for U.S. Air Force Telecommunications Management Program.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- ACE*COMM Corporation (NASDAQ:ACEC), today provided further information on a recent defense contract award that encompasses an enterprise-wide Telecommunications Management System (TMS) to be conducted under the Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) program for the US Air Force. ACE*COMM will provide its NetPlus(R) 6 as a sub-contractor to Northrop Grumman Corporation's Information Technology sector. The contract is scheduled to encompass over one hundred installations at US Air Force bases around the world.

This is the first contract awarded to ACE*COMM under the NETCENTS program, for which the Company and Northrop Grumman competed against other NETCENTS contractors. The US Air Force selected Northrop Grumman and seven other contractors for a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide information technology products and services for the Air Force's NETCENTS program. The overall ceiling of this ID/IQ contract is $9 billion.

NetPlus(R) 6 will be the Air Force's standard Telecommunications Management System (TMS) that will be implemented at bases throughout the world, and be used to manage the base voice telecommunications infrastructure. A system will be installed at each base with a replicated system installed at each Major Command (MAJCOM) network operations control center (NOSC). NetPlus(R) 5 is currently operational at 37 Air Force bases. These systems will also be upgraded to NetPlus(R) 6 under the terms of this contract.

NetPlus(R) 6 is an advanced enterprise operations support system (EOSS) designed for enterprise-level voice and data networks. This version represents an improvement in flexibility, extensibility, and mobility over present-day systems. The new version's browser-based interface is expected to eliminate the need for time-consuming client installation and upgrades, and includes a configurable Workflow Engine that enables information technology (IT) departments to further automate labour and paper-intensive processes for improved network operating efficiency and data accuracy.
