), a Jacksonville-based temporary staffing and outsourcing company, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire by purchase 100% of the common stock of GW Consulting, the largest provider of staffing solutions in northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern . The transaction is expected to close on or about January 3, 1996. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Weldon Wasson will remain as president of the company and, with his management team, will head and accelerate AccuStaff's expansion of staffing services on the West Coast to meet the rapidly changing information technology services environment. GW Consulting will be a part of AccuStaff's Professional Services division.

The demand for staffing and outsourcing solutions in the computer software industry is growing rapidly. With the addition of GW Consulting and our recent acquisition of Computer Professionals, we expect staffing revenues from the information technology sector to be in excess of $75 million for 1996."

AccuStaff is a leading provider of temporary staffing and outsourcing services to businesses, professional and service organizations, and governmental agencies. After giving effect to the GW acquisition and the previously announced acquisition of Perma Temp Agency (11/30/95), the Company will operate 91 branch offices in 20 states and the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States). , and is organized into three divisions -- the Commercial division, the Professional Services division, and the Telecommunications division.
