 NEW YORK, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- ACCUHEALTH, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACCU


common; ACCUW, warrants; and ACCUU, units) announced today that it would extend the expiration date of the company's warrants from Nov. 7, 1992, to March 1, 1993. The company operates a chain of nine drug stores and a home health care business which sells and rents durable medical equipment and supplies and sells intravenous solutions and related equipment used for infusion therapy. In its initial public offering in November 1988, the company issued 700,000 units with each unit consisting of one share of common stock and one redeemable warrant to purchase one-half share of the company's common stock. The warrants are exercisable only in pairs, with each two warrants entitling the warrant holder to purchase one share of the company's common stock at a price of $6.25, subject to adjustment in certain circumstances. The terms of the warrants remain unchanged except that the warrants may now be exercised at any time prior to and including March 1, 1993.
 ACCUHEALTH, Inc. also announced that it filed its Form 10-Q for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992, with the Securities and Exchange Commission today. Net sales for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992, were $9,661,240, an increase of 16.6 percent over sales for the same period last year. Net income for the third quarter of 1992 was $109,836 as compared to a loss of $208,676 for the third quarter of 1991.
 For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1992, ACCUHEALTH, Inc. reported net sales of $29,239,626 versus $25,374,383 for the same period of 1991 representing an increase of 15.2 percent. Net income for the first nine months of 1992 was $463,658 as compared to a $99,653 loss for the same period in 1991.
