Standards are statements of desirable practice leading to quality services and programs for the population served. The first formal document based on such review, issued in 1965, is now replaced by the Self-Assessment Self-assessment in an organisational setting, according to the EFQM definition, refers to a comprehensive, systematic and regular review of an organisation's activities and results referenced against the EFQM Excellence Model.
