 ACCLAIM EXPANDS 16-BIT SOFTWARE LINEUP
 OYSTER BAY, N.Y., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Capitalizing on the growth


of 16-bit interactive entertainment market, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKLM) expands its software lineup with two new titles for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System(R) (Super NES/TM/): WWF Super WrestleMania(TM) and Super Smash TV(TM)> Both titles are currently reaching store shelves nationwide.
 "The 16-bit category continues to soar in the U.S., with cumulative entrainment system hardware sales estimated to reach 12 million units, and software sales expected to exceed 25 million units this year," says Robert Holmes, president of Acclaim. "We are tremendously excited about the newest additions to our Super NES lineup, which have already received outstanding early reviews, and have sold out at many retailers across the country."

THe World Wrestling Federation, an equally successful license, has resulted in combined cumulative sales of two million units among Acclaim's previously released Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy titles.
