ACCA Networks Chooses Unisphere Networks' ERX-1400 For Its ADSL Service Area Expansion; Scalability and Wire-Speed Routing Capabilities Needed to Manage Escalating DSL Demands in Japan.

Unisphere Networks, Inc., a leading provider of IP infrastructure to enable broadband data and voice services, today announced that ACCA Networks Co., Ltd., a provider of premium broadband services, has chosen the ERX-1400 edge router with the Subscriber Access Feature Pack(TM) to provide broadband access technology to ACCA customers. Unisphere Networks' ERX strengthens ACCA's position as a major Japanese DSL provider by enhancing the speed of its IP services and enabling the company to expand its DSL service to a wider geographic area.

The ERX-1400, a key component of Unisphere Networks' Intelligent Services PoP (Point of Presence), is being used in the ACCA network to offer data services to major ISPs and network service providers across Japan. ACCA has deployed the ERX in Tokyo, Osaka and other cities and has already acquired several wholesale ISP broadband access customers including OCN, Nifty, and Biglobe. ACCA plans to continue capitalizing on the scalability and wire-speed routing capabilities of the ERX-1400 to attract additional service providers across Japan.
