ACC boss is 'woman of valor'.

On August 17 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Michele Medaglia, president and CEO of ACC Construction, the award-winning nationally certified Woman-Owned Business, will address an audience of hundreds of business leaders as the Guest of Honor for the Fourth Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea.

The event is sponsored by the Capuchin Food Pantries and Mann Publications.

Medaglia, whose company is the leading WBE construction management and general contracting company in the New York region, is known for her charitable work and commitment to organizations that promote women in business, such as the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) and Professional Women in Construction (PWC). Medaglia, a former president of AREW, was the recipient of this year's coveted Founders Award.

She also served as sponsorship co-chair for AREW's first annual Man of the Year Award.

Recognized for her participation in a variety of causes, Medaglia has been honored by the National Organization for Women (NOW), Americans of Italian Heritage and the Trey Whitfield Foundation within the past two years. In 2004, Medaglia was named Developer of the Year by industry giant, Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO).

She is also a longstanding member of two other important real estate industry organizations: BOMA (Building Owners and Manager Association) and the Corporate Real Estate Network (CoreNet Global).
