ACC SIGNS LONG-DISTANCE CONTRACTS WITH TWO MORE COLLEGES

 ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- ACC Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: ACCC) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, ACC Long Distance Corp. ("ACC"), has signed multi-year agreements to provide long-distance telephone service to students, and in one case, staff at two more colleges located in New York and Massachusetts. Taken together, these contracts should provide ACC with total revenues of approximately $2 million over their combined contract periods. This announcement was made today by Arunas A. Chesonis, president of ACC Long Distance Corp.
 Contracts have been signed with The Juilliard School, New York; and Atlantic Union College, South Lancaster, Mass. Contract terms begin with the 1993/1994 school year and run between 5 and 7 years, depending on the institution. ACC will provide a variety of services to students and in some cases administration, including outbound long-distance, operator-assisted services, and voice mail services.
 In commenting on the contracts, Chesonis stated, "This brings the number of new schools signed to use ACC services beginning this fall to 10, and anticipated new revenue totalling approximately $33 million over the term of the contracts. We are pleased to welcome these schools to our growing list of approximately 60 academic institutions worldwide benefitting from ACC's custom-tailored approach."
