ACA Names Ross Lieberman VP of Government Affairs.


Key Appointment Expands ACA's Presence in Washington

PITTSBURGH -- The American Cable Association (ACA ACA - Application Control Architecture ) announced that Ross Lieberman has joined the organization as vice president of government affairs. In this new staff position based in Washington, D.C., Lieberman serves as the trade association's senior government advocate on Capitol Hill and at the Federal Communications Commission Federal Communications Commission (FCC), independent executive agency of the U.S. government established in 1934 to regulate interstate and foreign communications in the public interest.  (FCC).

Most recently, Lieberman directed congressional and state affairs for Echostar Communications Corporation EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) is the parent company of DISH Network and the maintainer of the satellite fleet that provides the signal that DISH Network markets. . During his seven-year tenure, he worked on the 1999 and 2004 Satellite Home Viewer Acts. Lieberman holds a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law The American University Washington College of Law (WCL) is a private ABA-certified American law school. It is located on Massachusetts Avenue in the Spring Valley area of Northwest Washington, DC.  and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University Johns Hopkins University, mainly at Baltimore, Md.
