ABUSALEH, CHAMINADE JUST TOO FAST IN NONLEAGUE WIN CHAMINADE 56, BURBANK 26.


As a sophomore, Chaminade's Amin AMIN Arabic Media Internet Network  Abusaleh ran the 100 meters in 11.4 seconds. That was two years ago.

 Jones running free, all Chaminade Chaminade can refer to:
  • William Joseph Chaminade
  • Cécile Chaminade, French composer and pianist

  • Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York
 quarterback Eric Vose had to do was float the ball to one of them, and they would do the rest.

That's what happened Saturday at Burroughs High. Abusaleh, Everett and Jones each scored twice, the Eagles scored on all five of their first-half possessions and ran back a kickoff into the end zone for good measure to post a 56-26 nonleague victory.

Everett opened the game by returning the kick 88 yards for a touchdown. He later caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Vose by outrunning and outleaping his defender in the end zone.

Abusaleh did the same, scoring on passes of 68 and 14 yards from Vose, the latter coming with a minute to play in the first half and giving the Eagles a 42-20 halftime lead.

Abusaleh caught five passes for 116 yards, all in the first half. Jones caught a 49-yard scoring pass from Vose to give Chaminade a 14-0 lead with just 1:32 gone in the game. He later caught an 8-yard pass from Vose, who completed 14 of 20 passes for 233 yards.
