ABS CBN Foundation (USA) Appoints Mitos Santisteban as President and CEO; New Leadership Brings More than 25 Years of Philanthropy Experience to Serve the Filipino-American Community.

Santisteban, currently a board member, has been involved with the Foundation since 1998. As president and CEO, her primary responsibilities will include oversight of fundraising programs, management of day-to-day operations, and principal liaison to the community. She will concurrently retain the title of Manager, Community Relations 1. The relationship between military and civilian communities.
2. Those public affairs programs that address issues of interest to the general public, business, academia, veterans, Service organizations, military-related associations, and other non-news media entities.

The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  as a political exile from her native Philippines in 1979, Santisteban has played a strong role in the Filipino-American community. Santisteban was chairperson of the Northern California Movement for a Free Philippines, supporter of Filipino Catholic Affairs, as well as a member of the San Mateo County Commission on Mental Health, to name a few. Together with husband, Joseling, Santisteban lends her leadership and organization skills to social, civic and youth services via the St. Andrew's Parish in Daly City, Calif. Santisteban helps members of the Bay Area business community by facilitating seminars on the Philippines and Filipino culture to companies interested in doing business there.

Major programs of the Foundation include Bantay Bata (Child Watch), a 24-hour child abuse rescue operation, Educational TV, a value formation and curriculum enhancement program for public elementary schools, and Bayan Microfinance, a poverty alleviation and community economic opportunities program. The Foundation also promotes Bantay Kalikasan (Nature Watch), encouraging clean air and water for the children of Metro Manila.
