ABRA's Rick Assumes Sales and C.E. Position in Wisconsin.


MINNEAPOLIS -- ABRA Auto Body & Glass, a national damaged vehicle repair company located in Minneapolis, announced today the appointment of Robert Rick as Regional Vice President of Sales and Continuing Education continuing education: see adult education.

Rick joined ABRA in 1996 as Vice President of Human Resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. , and was named Vice President of Training in 1998, the position he maintained until his recent transfer to ABRA-Wisconsin. During his tenure at ABRA, Rick developed a national Continuing Education program and expanded ABRA's internal training program. He also served as a guest speaker for many industry-related events, including the annual NADA convention.

Before joining ABRA, Rick was an automotive trainer and consultant for all major auto manufacturers, specializing in sales, leasing and fixed operations. Rick earned a two-year automotive degree and a four-year business management degree from Northwood University Northwood University is a private university, with locations in many U.S. states. Northwood hosts three residential campuses in Midland, Michigan (opened in 1959), West Palm Beach, Florida (opened in 1984), and Cedar Hill, Texas (opened in 1966) as well as the University College  in Midland, Michigan Midland is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan in Flint/Tri-Cities region of the state. It is the county seat of Midland County6.

A small portion of the city is in Bay County. The city's population was 41,685 as of the 2000 census.
