ABL Canada Announces a Major Follow on Order for the Remote Surveillance of the Italian Autostrada.

This order complements ABL equipment already installed on the network, and expands the reach and functionality of the surveillance system.

The entire network is switched using ABL's SW1616 Trident switch. The SW1616 allows Autostrada authorities to make the most efficient use of bandwidth by remotely controlling the network from two central operations Central Operations (CO) is a major command of the London Metropolitan Police that provides operational support to the rest of the service. It is commanded by Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur.  centers, observing any point on the network as required.

This network incorporates almost all elements of ABL's VideoExpress(TM) network. VideoExpress(TM) provides a solution across the bandwidth spectrum from 2 Mbps to 140 Mbps, over fully switched fiber connections processing both analog and digital signals.
