) announced today that Kathleen M. Walsh has joined the Company as Vice President for Human Resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. . Ms. Walsh will be responsible for management of all aspects of ABIOMED's human resources function, and will lead the development of the Company's human resource strategies, programs and policies.
