ABC.com More Than Doubles Traffic in Two Months.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1998--ABC.com has experienced a one hundred percent increase in market share, according to recently released results from Media Metrix, the PC Meter company.

From February 1998 to April 1998, ABC.com traffic increased by 800,000 users. During this time, ABC.com increased its reach from 1.7% to 3.4% of all Internet users. In addition, ABC.com continued to be the top broadcast network Web site.

ABC.com capitalized on ABC network television programming from February to April. Oscar.com, the official Web site of the 70th Annual Academy Awards, recorded a total of 5,268,000 impressions (page views) on Oscar night. In addition, cross-promotion with primetime, TGIF and ABC's soaps drove traffic to ABC.com.
