ABC Radio and Telenor Mobile Interactive USA (www.telenor-interacive.com) have launched the first cross-carrier premium wireless text messaging service on Detroit's hit music station 93.1 DRQ Detroit (WDRQ) (www.drqradio.com).

The service runs during 93.1 DRQ's Man @ Large show, that airs weekdays from 6:30 pm - 12:00 am (EST EST electroshock therapy.

At 9:00 pm (EST), listeners are invited to vote on a chosen song becoming a Hit or Miss by simply sending either the text message DRQH (for a Hit) or DRQM (for a miss) from their mobile phones to short code number 55655. The cost of sending a text vote is $0.50, plus standard text messaging rates.
