 Television's Enhanced TV Enhanced TV (ETV) is one example of interactive TV. It is used in particular in reference to Two-Screen Solutions TV + PC services. Generally users of these ETV services have their TV and computer in the same room, and navigate their web browser to a particular program-specific Web  will feature "Rock Online," a real time online competition in conjunction with the special Rock Star edition of ABC's "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire." Viewers can compete alongside their favorite music star and against other teams for the chance to win autographed pictures of the famous contestants. The two Rock Star telecasts are scheduled for Sunday, February 11 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) and Wednesday, February 14 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

The Enhanced TV application's "Rock Online" competition enables viewers to answer the same questions as the rock stars on the television program in real time, with the click of the mouse on their computer. Enhanced TV users also score bonus points by quickly answering the questions correctly as they compete against all other online players watching the same telecast. More than 12 million unique viewers have experienced ABC's Enhanced TV version of "Millionaire" since its debut in March.

"These special Enhanced TV editions of `Millionaire' emphasize our ability to customize the viewer experience based on the changing themes of the traditional telecast," said Jonathan Leess, senior vice president, general manager and executive producer, Walt Disney Internet Group & ABC Television's Enhanced TV unit. "Our objective is to enable ABC's TV viewers to be the first to experience real interactive Television, and begin conditioning themselves for the emerging interactive TV services soon to be delivered directly to their TV sets."

Viewers can log on to ABC.com at the beginning of the show and click on the Enhanced TV button to launch the interactive gaming application. They can then select their desired star's team from a pull-down menu Also called a "drop-down menu" or "pop-down menu," the common type of menu used with a graphical user interface (GUI). Clicking a menu title causes the menu items to appear to drop down from that position and be displayed. , and accumulate points for that musician with each question answered correctly. A winning team will be crowned each evening at the end of each time zone's telecast. In addition, individual top scoring Enhanced TV players will qualify for prizes each night.

Anyone with a personal computer, connected to the Internet via 28.8 modem or better, will have access to Walt Disney Internet Group & ABC Television's Enhanced TV programming applications. Users must have 4.0 version browsers or better in order to receive the interactive programming. Access to the programming is free to all users, however users must register in order to be eligible for prizes.
