ABB Meets Growth Of Texas Units With A New Houston Facility.


NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1998--ABB, the worldwide engineering group, marked the expansion of its Texas operations today with a ground-breaking ceremony at the site where its new Houston office building will be constructed.

Construction is scheduled to start in early August 1998, with building completion expected in the fourth quarter of 1999. The new building will have nine floors with a total area of 470,000 square feet. The building will house nine ABB divisions: ABB Lummus Global, ABB Randall, ABB Vetco Gray, ABB Industrial Systems, ABB Simcon, ABB Power T&D, ABB Instrumentation, ABB August and ABB Stal.
