These different software components might be classified according to the functions within the Open Systems  applications at DistribuTECH.

During the three-day show, attendees will learn about ABB solutions through interactive presentations and live demonstrations. Attendees will learn how to reduce operation costs, improve customer relations and increase profit margins with ABB's suite of integratable metering products.

ABB solutions being showcased include:
-- EnergyAxis AMR System -- A scalable, entry-level priced meter data
management system that supports all processes and workflows for meter
installation, meter data collection and publication. The EnergyAxis AMR System
addresses advanced energy information management demands critical to utilities,
energy marketers and customers for monitoring electricity usage, power quality
and reliability. Seamless, enterprise-wide integration is available using ABB
CADOPS(TM) Software for distribution operations management and ABB Energy
Profiler Online(TM) -- an industry leading tool for Web-based load data
visualization and analysis.

-- A3 ALPHA Meter with Itron 50ESS ERT -- ABB has teamed with Itron to
integrate proven communications by offering an ABB A3 ALPHA meter equipped with
an under-the-cover Itron 50ESS ERT. This economical AMR solution lets users
collect billing data from demand and simple TOU-metered accounts using Itron
handheld, mobile and fixed network reading systems.

-- Metercat 1.1 Software -- A powerful, meter configuration software package
for programming and reading ABB's A3 ALPHA meter. Using a Windows(R)-based
platform, meter programming and report generation are easily accomplished. New
meter communication function tasks are available as well as new load profile
data options for exporting to MV-90 and ASCII file formats.

-- ION(R) 8300, 8400 and 8500 Meters; ION Enterprise 3.0 Software

-- Advanced revenue and power quality meters with energy management and control
software. ION meters combine advanced power quality analysis, extensive 3-phase
power and energy measurements, and data/event recording in a single instrument.

In addition, ABB will display its comprehensive product line of ANSI (American National Standards Institute, New York, www.ansi.org) A membership organization founded in 1918 that coordinates the development of U.S. voluntary national standards in both the private and public sectors.
