ABB and Caminus LLC have agreed to integrate their sophisticated software products used for information management, risk management, and energy trading in the deregulated energy industry.

Under cooperation agreements signed today, ABB Energy Information Systems of Santa Clara, Calif., and Caminus LLC of New York, N.Y., will work together to ensure that their respective programs manage data transfers seamlessly; and each company plans to add functionality to its products to make use of the additional information available from the other company's products.

Caminus' Zai*Net software is the leading energy trading, risk management, and scheduling system in use in competitive energy markets at the wholesale level. The alliance of the two industry leaders means that for the first time, energy industry managers will have at their disposal an integrated suite of software products for managing energy transactions, from the wellhead to the energy consumer.
