ABB ACQUIRES WILSON AUTOMATION.

 Flexible Automation Inc., has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Wilson Automation, a leading supplier of engine and transmission assembly systems, from Newcor, Inc. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The new business unit will be called Wilson Automation, a division of ABB Flexible Automation Inc., and will continue to conduct business at its Warren, Michigan Warren is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 138,247, making Warren the largest city in Macomb County, the third most populous city in Michigan, and Metro Detroit's largest suburb.  location.

With this new capability, ABB will be the only supplier with design and build capability on two continents," said Peter S. Janson.
