, Alcatel, Legrand, Philips Lighting and Schneider Electric Schneider Electric (Euronext: SCHN) is a French global company. It was founded in 1836 by two brothers, Joseph and Adolphe Schneider, who took over a troubled foundry at Le Creusot. , five key players in the construction and electrical installation market, have decided to unite their skills to launch the first European electrical installation portal for construction industry professionals.
