AARP Ends Involvement in Lawsuit Against Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin.

AARP had filed suit against BCBSUW challenging the plan approved by the Wisconsin Commissioner of Insurance to dedicate the full value of the company, after conversion to a stockholder-owned corporation, to the Wisconsin United for Health Foundation. The Foundation will contribute the funds to the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Medical School for the purpose of improving the health of Wisconsin citizens.

AARP filed its Notice of Voluntary Dismissal Voluntary dismissal is when a law suit is terminated by request of the plaintiff (the party originally bringing the suit to court).
