AARO Broadband Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:AARW) released the following statement regarding the end of AARO's first calendar year of operations:

"As we close 2000, AARO has been operational for more than eight months, first as a private company, then following its merger into a publicly-traded corporation," said AARO President/CEO Ron Baker.

-- Built a carrier-class National Operations and Data Center in its Oklahoma
City headquarters.

-- Launched service in the Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Austin markets.

-- Been the first to launch broad bandwidth telecommunications in rural
America. Stroud, Okla., a town of less than 3,000 that was previously forced to
survive on slow, dial-up service, is now connected to the Internet wirelessly
at speeds in excess of 3 Mbps.

-- Executed a contract with the Oklahoma Municipal League designed to provide
high-speed telecommunications capabilities to rural areas throughout the state.


-- Executed a contract with a government leasing group designed to
revolutionize the way local, state and federal governments finance the
provisioning of goods and services.

-- Built a board of directors consisting of both corporate officers as well as
the "cream of the crop" in the telecommunications, aeronautics, financial and
marketing industries.

-- Completed fundraising efforts to bring in excess of $4 million to its
efforts to build a national, carrier-class telecommunications network.
