First quarter sales increased 13.2 percent to $17,846,000 from $15,765,000 a year ago. Earnings declined 23.5 percent to $852,000 or 14 cents per share Cents per share

Norman Asbjornson, president said, "The decrease in earnings was mainly attributable to an inability to pass on significant increases in raw material costs, especially copper and aluminum. These increases were primarily a problem at our Longview, Texas Longview is a city in Texas, United States, located between Dallas, TX and Shreveport, LA. The population was 73,345 at the 2000 census, but a 2005 estimate placed the city's population at 75,609.  coil manufacturing plant. The problem will be corrected over the balance of the year thereby creating an improved outlook for the remainder of 1995. Our market share should increase due to product enhancements and options introduced during the year."
