GIBSON VANCE As an officer of the Alabama Association for Justice (formerly the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association), ME Vance has watched trial lawyers in his state battle efforts to close the judicial system to ordinary citizens. After each battle, win or lose, the association pulled together to focus on the next struggle. "I want to take this hard-earned perspective and apply it to national efforts, expanding AAJ's fired-raising efforts, continuing to reach across the aisle to moderate Republican friends, expanding research and public-relations efforts to effectively communicate our values to the public, and offering more assistance to state associations," he says.
