AAIPharma Strengthens South American Operations through Acquisition of Instituto de Pesquisa Clinica de Sao Paulo, Ltd.


WILMINGTON, N.C. -- AAIPharma Inc. announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Instituto de Pesquisa Clinica de Sao Paulo, Ltd. (IPCSP), a contract research organization providing clinical development services in Brazil. The acquisition of IPCSP combined with AAIPharma's existing operations in Argentina and Peru provides the Company critical mass in South America South America, fourth largest continent (1991 est. pop. 299,150,000), c.6,880,000 sq mi (17,819,000 sq km), the southern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and a platform for continued growth in this region.
