AACC International offers new resource for grains industry.Primer papers on topics of importance to the grain-based food industry are now available from AACC AACC American Association of Community Colleges (formerly American Association of Junior Colleges) AACC American Association for Clinical Chemistry AACC American Association of Cereal Chemists AACC Anne Arundel Community College International, the organisation of professionals who contribute to the research, development, and processing of grains and grain-based products. Written by leading experts, the primer papers provide background information on key topics in a non-technical format. The papers are intended to be informative and useful to audiences with varied levels of knowledge on the topics covered. Available in a PDF (Portable Document Format) The de facto standard for document publishing from Adobe. On the Web, there are countless brochures, data sheets, white papers and technical manuals in the PDF format. , each primer paper includes web links to additional information on the subjects. The first primer papers--Allergens and Genetically-Modified Crops--offer an overview on two topics that are of continued importance to the grain-based food industry. The primers will be complimentary to members as a member benefit and non-members will be charged a nominal fee of $15 per article. Primer papers on additional subjects of interest will soon be available. A new primer paper is expected to be available each month. AACC International is currently accepting primer paper topic ideas. People interested in authoring a paper are also invited to contact the Association.
