Oregon/Idaho has broken ground on an 11,450-square-foot outlet at 939 Harlow Road, between the SELCO SELCO Southeastern Libraries Cooperating SELCO Ships Electronic Configuration File Credit Union building and the Pacific Continental Bank building. AAA will occupy 5,000 square feet and seek tenants for the balance, said John McDonald John McDonald may refer to:

The Lane County area has 51,000 AAA members. "We've grown so rapidly that we need additional space to fulfill ful·fill also ful·fil tr.v. ful·filled, ful·fill·ing, ful·fills also ful·fils 1. Portland-based AAA Oregon/Idaho has been eyeing Gateway for several years. The agency bought the 1.6-acre Harlow parcel from McKenzie-Willamette Hospital in June 2000 for $617,712, according to according to prep. 1. The hospital had owned that land - plus the land it previously sold to SELCO and Pacific Continental for their buildings - for several years. McKenzie-Willamette had intended to build medical facilities on the land but then scrapped those plans and put the land up for sale. Once AAA had the land, it took a while for the agency to move ahead with construction plans. In the pipeline ahead of the Springfield office was a new office in Boise, McDonald said. The Gateway building will be AAA's 16th district office in Oregon. At current construction prices, the new one-story AAA building would cost about $1.2 million, although McDonald said he was uncertain about the exact price tag. McDonald said he expects construction to be done by mid-June. At that point, some of the Willagillespie staff will move into the new digs. Also, AAA may add a few positions, he said. The new office will offer all the same services as the Willagillespie office: travel agency service, maps and travel-related books, travelers checks and insurance, and a travel products store. AAA has not yet begun marketing the vacant space to tenants, McDonald said. By business editor Christian Wihtol. Development Report runs Tuesdays.
