AAA Texas Releases Memorial Day Travel Projections.

AAA's annual Memorial Day survey projects that 34.2 million Americans plan to travel 50 miles or more from home, up less than 1 percent from last year's 32.1 million.

Research for Memorial Day travel is based on a national telephone survey of 1,300 adults by the Travel Industry Association of America America [for Amerigo Vespucci], the lands of the Western Hemisphere—North America, Central (or Middle) America, and South America. The world map published in 1507 by Martin Waldseemüller is the first known cartographic use of the name. , which conducts special research for AAA.
