AAA Texas Launches AAA Premier Membership With Expanded Benefits for Members.

IRVING, Texas -- AAA Texas has launched AAA Premier, a new level of membership, offering 16 new and expanded benefits for its members.

Among many advantages, AAA Premier provides members expanded roadside assistance with up to 200 miles of towing for their automobile per household per membership year, one-day complimentary rental car with an in-state tow, home lockout service and 24-hour concierge and emergency travel/medical services.

"AAA Premier provides members more help on the road, or when they're leisure traveling," said George Clarke, AAA Texas general manager. "It also provides other benefits that extend to purchasing a vehicle, reduced air and rail service fees and en-route travel directions."

The cost of a new single AAA Premier membership is $102 per year and for a family of two, the cost is $154 per year. (A first year $20 admission fee is also collected for new members.) Current AAA members may upgrade their membership for a nominal fee.

AAA Texas decided to offer this higher level membership as a way to provide current and new members with additional value, according to Clarke. AAA Premier is available to all members with AAA Plus(R), standard membership as well as new members and those transferring their AAA membership from other states. AAA Premier members also receive all benefits extended to AAA Plus and the standard AAA membership, Clarke said.
