Our goal is to give members world class service both now and in the future. The employees housed in our new building will allow us to continue to meet the needs of this growing membership while we continue to expand services and develop new ones.

"AAA Texas strongly believes in being an active part of the communities where our members live and work." McKernan added. "We have 20 district offices throughout Texas to serve members, seven of them in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. We are particularly pleased to be the newest resident of the City of Irving and appreciate the warm welcome extended to us. Our employees are actively involved in every community we serve and we look forward to being an increasingly vital part of both the economy and community here in Irving and the Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex A metroplex is large metropolitan area containing several cities and their suburbs.[1] It is also sometimes used as an alternative to metropolis or megalopolis, which is a chain of continuous metropolitan areas. ."

McKernan. The NEC building and location met the club's needs for immediate occupancy, flexibility of lease terms, pricing, recruiting and transportation.

"AAA Texas greatly appreciates the hospitality of all the cities involved in our search for a new regional headquarters," said McKernan. "Their enthusiasm for having AAA Texas as a member of their communities made it a pleasure to work with all of them."

The new headquarters building is expected to house 500 employees including administrative staff, member services support, insurance and insurance claims by the end of 2004. Employees will begin occupying the building in November. A total of one thousand new jobs are expected to be added within the next several years. The building will not include a district office for member service. AAA Texas members will continue to go to the seven district offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for assistance with membership, travel and insurance needs.

Information about employment opportunities at the new regional headquarters will be available on the AAA Texas Web site, www.aaa-texas.com, in late October.

AAA Texas has been serving Texans since 1902. Today more than one million Texas members benefit from the organization's roadside assistance service, insurance, travel agency, financial products, automotive pricing, buying and financing, trip planning services and traffic safety programs.
