"Four of the Texas cities that set new record highs last week, posted price decreases at the gas pumps this week," said Rose Rougeau of AAA Texas. "Whether this downward movement will continue in the coming weeks remain uncertain -- especially with the price of crude oil selling at $38.18 a barrel, the highest level since 1990."

AAA Texas' Weekend Gas Watch monitors the average price of gasoline at popular destinations for automobile automobile, self-propelled vehicle used for travel on land. The term is commonly applied to a four-wheeled vehicle designed to carry two to six passengers and a limited amount of cargo, as contrasted with a truck, which is designed primarily for the transportation of  trips.
