AAA Reports: Northern California Gas Prices Continue Tumbling; Second Straight Month Of Double-Digit Decreases At Most Pumps.

Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded self-serve gas in Northern California plummeted 20 cents to $1.63, a two-month drop of 36 cents. The Bay Area average is $1.73, a 21 cent monthly drop, with all Bay Area cities well below the $2 mark. Fresno recorded the lowest prices in the state at $1.25, a 35-cent nose-dive since last month.

The national average dropped 4 cents to $1.39.
