Optimized to work within analytic environments, A3 Modeling is a scalable technology for creating and integrating web-based modeling applications throughout an enterprise without business interruption. Because A3 Modeling is easy-to-use and to administer, this technology is appropriate for publishing read-only reports over the web, and for managing interactive read-write analytic applications Analytic Applications are a type of business application software, used to measure and improve the performance of business operations. More specifically, Analytic Applications are a type of Business Intelligence solution.  such as budgeting and forecasting.

Three Integrated Modules

A3 Financial Modeling combines Expense, Capital and Compensation packages in an integrated budgeting and forecasting application. Built on a multidimensional OLAP foundation, A3 Financial Modeling provides flexible access to GL accounts, allowing users to view and establish expenses by department, by product, by project, or by cost center. Salary, payroll and bonus expenses are linked to the Compensation module which enables detailed headcount and benefits forecasting at the employee level, the company level, and every level in-between. Extensive "what-if" features allow users to explore the effect of changing headcount levels, changing start dates, salaries, and others.

The Capital Forecasting module lets companies flexibly model the acquisition, depreciation or amortization and retirement of corporate assets. A3 Capital Forecasting lets users to do sophisticated asset modeling using any number of assets, asset classes and depreciation methods. In all modules, new items, such as assets, expenses or heads can be added easily by the end user, without DBA intervention.
